What's My Approach to Therapy?

Healing starts with safety and connection. I believe therapy works best when it’s grounded in a trusting, authentic relationship. It’s not just about showing up to talk—it’s about both of us showing up with honesty, care, and commitment. For many people, trusting others can feel risky or impossible. That’s okay. Therapy can be a space where we explore those fears together, at your pace and on your terms. My role is to walk beside you, to listen deeply, and to support your sense of empowerment and autonomy. Together, we’ll build a relationship that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful.

I use evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), depending on what feels right for you and your goals. I also bring a lived understanding of neurodivergence and mental health challenges.

As a neurodivergent clinician with co-occurring mental health diagnoses, I approach therapy with humility, compassion, and respect for the complexity of identity and intersectionality. You don’t have to go through this alone. If you're ready to start, I'm here to support you.

My Practice & Services

I’m pleased to share that my office is now fully telehealth and I am accepting clients in Arizona, Illinois, and New Hampshire. While my availability differs across time zones, I offer flexible weekday scheduling (Monday–Friday) to accommodate a range of needs.
My therapeutic style integrates humor, compassion, lived experience, and deep empathy, creating a supportive and grounded space for healing and growth.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Starting therapy can feel scary, and it?s completely normal to feel anxious or uncertain about taking that first step. I?ve been there myself, and I know how overwhelming it can be to meet a new therapist and not know what to expect.
The truth is, therapy can offer profound benefits?and the most important part of that process is the therapeutic relationship. I work intentionally to build a connection that helps you feel at ease, understood, and supported.
This is your space to share openly, be vulnerable, receive honest and compassionate feedback, and gain an unbiased perspective. Therapy can be deeply emotional at times, and it often brings change in both expected and surprising ways. But you won?t move through it alone?I?ll be right there with you as you grow and heal at your own pace.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I bring significant lived experience to my work as a therapist. I?ve been in therapy myself, taken medication, and navigated the ups and downs of the mental health journey from both sides of the table. I?ve moved through trauma and periods of intense mood dysregulation, and those experiences?both the helpful and the painful ones?are part of what led me to this profession.
Because of that, I aim to create a space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported. My empathy isn?t theoretical; it comes from knowing firsthand what these struggles can feel like. I will never approach you as a case study or reduce you to a set of symptoms. Instead, I meet you as a whole person, bringing compassion, understanding, and genuine connection to our work together.
