Billing and Insurance

I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage

Fees: The fee I charge is determined on a sliding scale based on your economic situation. It ranges from $70 to $140 per session for individual clients and from $100 to $160 for couples.

Should you be using insurance that has out-of-network benefits (as many PPO plans include), you may be able to defray a percentage of the fee cost. Clients in the past have used plans with Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, and other insurance companies to do just this. I can help you find that information if you think it could be helpful.

My goal is to find a fee that works for both of us.

My goal is to help you achieve real change, whether it's in dealing with a difficult current situation or breaking entrenched patterns that keep you from living a more fulfilling life. In a supportive environment, I'll use the unique combination of therapeutic approaches that best fit your needs and who you are as a person, or best fit the needs and individuality of your child.

People come to therapy for various reasons including problems in their personal relationships or their professional life, feeling deep stress, worry, or sadness, or simply wanting a place to share how they are truly feeling.

I believe talking about these issues in a safe, non-judgmental space can really help.

More Info About My Practice

Some people worry that they can't go to a Marriage and Family Therapist if they're not married. This is not the case. I work with both single adults and couples. I also work with teenagers and children.

Additionally, I'm bilingual in Spanish if that's your preferred language. Your being able to express yourself comfortably is what is most important.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My own background is as a writer in the entertainment industry and I'm very aware of the emotional stresses of that field. I have experience helping clients who struggle with procrastination, feelings of inadequacy, or who have great anxiety from working in such an often unstable field. Helping clients to overcome these issues and others that may hold back their creativity has been a focus of treatment.

Regardless of your background, I believe that working together we can make the positive changes you are looking for. If you feel I could be the right fit for you, please don't hesitate to reach out.
