My Approach to Helping
I create a safe, accepting, learning environment where-in my clients explore their concerns, learn more about themselves and experience changes in their relationship with themselves, others and the world around them. Clients learn self-awareness, self-acceptance, greater life meaning and empowerment to transform their experiences. From a combined transpersonal, humanistic, systems and cognitive behavioural perspective I offer individual, spiritual and relations counselling, life change facilitation and communications coaching. As much of my work life experience has been in social research, group dynamics and change management, professional and working clients benefit from a unique experienced perspective and direct understanding of organizational dynamics, social pressures and the challenges of achieving work-life-spiritual balance. While I do not "treat" clients with significant emotional or mental disorders, I do counsel and guide the worried well or the moderately trauma-affected on a path to emotional and relational well-being. I refer to other professionals as the need becomes clear. To those who have suffered any emotional or mental trauma (over 75% of the population) , anxiety or PTSD, I offer experience and hope with current and alternative methods recovery.
