When you experience a loss, through death or illness or some other occurrence, you can easily become unfocused, deeply wounded, or desperate in trying to make sense out of your life. Routines become empty, values are questioned, emotional pain seems endless. It seems impossible to find meaning in the soul's experience. You can lose track of what is important. As a therapist I try to interact with you at all levels. We can deal with and relieve some of your current symptoms with various energy and somatic techniques. But more importantly, I want to work with you to place your symptoms in their context. How is the pain part of the meaning of your life? How does it serve you? How can you retain stability and even grow from it? My approaches are gentle and sensitive and move at your pace. I have particular experience with grief counseling, with counseling for life transitions, with religious and spiritual problems and with addiction counseling. I also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) which is particularly effective with anxiety, fears and addiction symptoms.
