Choosing a therapist/counselor is a very personal decision and finding the right one for you is essential for treatment to be effective. I have been practicing therapy for the past 17 years and was trained and educated at UCLA.
I view the therapy process as a collaborative one. My approach is authentic, straightforward, down to earth, nonjudgmental, and solution focused. I specialize in individual therapy for depression, anxiety, and grief and loss (especially mother-loss). Other areas addressed include stress management, adjustment/transition to college, relaxation training, assertiveness, communication skills, and building self-esteem.
