My Approach to Helping
The thought of entering counseling can be intimidating, especially if this is your first time setting foot in a therapist's office. That's why my passion for over 23 years has been to provide an environment where you can feel at ease in the process, be yourself, and work through your challenges in a safe and supportive place. I believe that counseling can be a powerful resource when you feel stuck and unable to resolve the issues that trouble you. My goal is to help you successfully navigate out of that stuck place and put tools in your hands can help improve the quality of your relationships - both with others and yourself.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
For as long as I can remember, I have loved listening to people's stories and been fascinated by the way people interact with each other. At an early age, I picked up on relational patterns and what could be done to improve them. So, one of my favorite things about being a psychotherapist is that I don't just observe, but actually get to teach people relational skills that bring real and lasting change! Some people think I'm crazy to want to sit with couples who argue or are getting on each other's last nerve. But, it brings me so much joy to help those couples work through their issues, learn new skills, and actually begin to enjoy their relationship again. I do it for the breakthrough and the look on the couple's faces when it finally begins to change. It is so worth it.
