My Approach to Helping

My philosophy is that psychotherapy is a journey of self-discovery, acceptance and action. I believe that we all already have our answers inside and through active involvement, honesty and openness to the process of therapy, we can change thoughts, feelings and/or behaviors. My role is to create a safe and respectful environment for you to unfold your inner wisdom.
When you make a decision to improve your emotional and psychological well being, you begin a deep process of exploration to find self-acceptance and balance in your life. Living in a world that allows little time for self-reflection and self-care, it is useful to have a guide in this process. With more than 25 years experience as a skilled helper in the field of psychotherapy, I have a unique blend of training and experience to assist you in dealing with your emotional and behavioral issues. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, intern supervisor and college level instructor, I have worked effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages.
