My Approach to Therapy
I work with founders, executives, high-performing professionals, and new fathers who are navigating the stress of building something meaningful. My clients are often successful by conventional measures but struggling with relationship strain, burnout, or the nagging question of whether this is actually what fulfillment looks like. You might be carrying the weight of responsibility for others, guilt about taking time for yourself, or realizing that traditional ideas of “work-life balance” don’t fully apply when you are deeply invested in what you are building.
My approach blends evidence-based strategy with depth and identity work. I focus on symptom reduction and lasting change by addressing the underlying patterns that keep showing up in your work, relationships, and sense of self. I use a 10-session treatment planning framework in which we establish clear goals early, check in on progress regularly, and decide together whether to extend, shift the focus, or wrap up. Many clients work with me for months or years. This isn’t about rushing you out; it’s about keeping therapy focused, intentional, and effective rather than open-ended.
I am honest and direct in sessions, and I will challenge avoidance patterns or places where you may feel stuck. That said, our work is always grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration. Therapy with me works best when clients are ready to engage actively and take ownership of their growth. If you are looking for purely supportive space without challenge or accountability, I may not be the best fit. If you are ready to create meaningful and sustainable change while continuing to perform at a high level, we will likely work well together.
I built Silicon Valley Therapy while working through the same tensions I help clients navigate. I’m a founder, a father, a therapist, trying to build a meaningful life without sacrificing depth or ambition. I have worked with enough founders, executives, and driven professionals to understand what creates real change. I do my best work with motivated individuals who are ready to build a life that feels aligned, intentional, and deeply fulfilling.
My Practice & Services
Silicon Valley Therapy is a practice I built specifically for the demands of life and work in the Bay Area. Over time I have grown it into a small team of therapists who share my philosophy, so the practice can serve more people while keeping the quality of care high. When you reach out to me, you will be working directly with me. I am the therapist you will sit with session after session, and I am committed to that continuity. Good therapy depends on a real, consistent relationship, so I have intentionally built things so that the person you start with is the person you stay with.
Sessions are primarily in person, with secure telehealth available across California when meeting remotely makes more sense for your schedule or location. My work is focused and intentional rather than open ended. We set clear goals early, revisit them regularly, and decide together how long our work continues. Some clients meet with me for a season of change. Others stay for months or years as new chapters unfold. Either way, the aim is therapy that stays purposeful and actually moves your life forward.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I am at my best helping accomplished people work through the specific pressures that come with building something meaningful. That includes burnout and chronic stress, the anxiety and perfectionism that often drive ambitious people, and the relationship and marriage strain that can build when work demands everything. I also do focused work around identity, purpose, and the question of whether your current definition of success actually leads to fulfillment. And I work closely with new and expecting fathers navigating the major identity shift of parenthood while staying engaged in demanding careers. Across all of these, my focus is on the underlying patterns that keep resurfacing in your work, relationships, and sense of self, so the changes you make actually last.
