My Approach to Helping
I have spent over a quarter-century in service to people who hurt. I believe in supportive, collaborative therapy when it's time for change. Lately I feel I've played the role of helpful, attentive granddad for a lot of folks; it seems to fit...since I'm 64. My personal experience with a broad range of problems and my contributions to keeping a 40-year marriage together have been of use to others. My licensed practice of 20 years with a diverse clientele is a very valuable asset. Twenty-nine extra credit hours' graduate work and hundreds of hours of CEU's probably help too.

More Info About My Practice
I am covered by Aetna and Blue Cross and see out-of-network and private pay clients as well.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

When you're unsure about seeing someone, consider the questions you would want to ask if you were interviewing applicants for the position of Your Personal Consultant. It's not at all out of line to call around and ask what you'd like to know. Sometimes the phone conversation alone can give you answers.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I remind all my clients that there are no perfect parents. I haven't met one yet. So No One leaves home with everything they need to keep a relationship going, for example, or to raise children. So everyone at some point in their journey, in my opinion, needs to stop and talk to someone trustworthy about issues of a personal nature. It's not about strength, but about the modeling we experienced. Home is all the education we get unless we do some very serious reading.
