I believe that the mind, body, spirit, our feelings, thoughts, and experiences are inextricably interconnected. Thus, I utilize an integrated and collaborative systems approach to assist the client in achieving balance in each of those dimensions of our lives which lead to happier, healthier, more authentic living. My focus is to counsel, encourage and empower clients to use the therapy experience as an opportunity for healing and growth and to offer creative alternatives to resolve difficult impasses and improve communication. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups. I am especially interested in working with children and have found Play Therapy to be an effective therapeutic approach for a variety of problems that children often experience. Although I am a Christian, not all of my clients are. Thus, in my practice, I emphasize mutual respect, encourage all to live according to their faith and values, the sanctity of life and the belief that God can use our weaknesses as easily as our strengths in order to accomplish His will on our journey towards cognitive, emotive and spiritual growth.
