My Approach to Helping
For many people coming to therapy is the most important step in their life. They learn to handle difficult emotions and behaviors that had blocked them off from being happy. In other words they learn how to get out of their own way and live joyfully. I am experienced in treating issues related to anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, bereavement, work stress, illness and accidents. I've worked productively with individuals, couples and families (including those with step-family issues). I use solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy. I also use life coaching techniques. I match the type of therapy to the needs of the patient.
