My Approach to Helping
Feelings of overwhelm, sadness or confusion are usually good indicators that you need some professional support. Suppressing or avoiding painful feelings leads to more suffering and problems physically and interpersonally. Whether you are facing a particular challenge, or you have no idea what's going on, therapy can offer great relief and resolution. I offer a non-judgmental, safe environment where you can explore and understand what is preventing you from living your life in a way that brings you the most fulfillment and happiness.
More Info About My Practice
I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School. I studied at the Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis (ICP) and the Psychoanalytic Center of California (PCC). My work is founded on psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory, which I blend with principals from Depth and Humanistic Psychology. I work extensively with relationship issues including separation, divorce, infidelity, and breakups. I am an insightful, warm and effective psychologist, and I do not believe in keeping my clients in therapy forever. I do whatever it takes to promote healing and self efficacy. I accept all PPO insurance.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy is an opportunity to express oneself in a safe objective environment and to gain wisdom and understanding about oneself leading to a happier and more fulfilling life.
My Therapy Focus
I focus on uncovering what lays beneath the presenting symptoms and helping my clients better understand their internal experience so they can make healthy adaptive choices.
