My philosophy of counseling is based on principles of mutual respect, honesty, collaboration, and genuineness. I believe helping persons feel better and do better is a holistic process. My approach as a clinician is to focus on the entire person-mind, body and spirit. I practice from a cognitive-behavioral foundation which is profoundly influenced by bio-psychosocial principles. I also work comfortably from a solution-focused perspective when using it appropriately meets the needs of my client.
In counseling sessions, the entire person-physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and occupational health are explored to help illicit growth and positive change. My aim is to help clients achieve balance in all life areas to successfully implement solutions to challenging life circumstances.
