What's My Approach to Therapy?
My approach is to help cultivate the ability to be present to what is going on in one's life, and to respond to situations guided by individual values. Much of our suffering is caused by attempts to avoid or control emotional situations, and learning to be in contact with our own experience gives us more freedom to choose our response. I support clients in recognizing and cultivating their personal values, and in taking committed action based on those values.
