My Approach to Helping
My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, and is influenced by the specific needs of each individual. My style is relational and incorporates elements of both psychodynamic (insight oriented) and cognitive behavioral therapy (skill building), as well as mindfulness. In my experience, I have found that long lasting effects come from working with and addressing both the current symptoms of distress as well as the underlying factors that have caused these feelings. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central, and value establishing a strong connection and working together in order to achieve personal changes.
