My Approach to Helping

My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, and is influenced by the specific needs of each individual. My style is relational and incorporates elements of both psychodynamic (insight oriented) and cognitive behavioral therapy (skill building), as well as mindfulness. In my experience, I have found that long lasting effects come from working with and addressing both the current symptoms of distress as well as the underlying factors that have caused these feelings. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central, and value establishing a strong connection and working together in order to achieve personal changes.

More Info About My Practice

I have been most effective in working with individuals who feel that relationship issues, mood problems, anxiety, life transitions, andor life stressors are preventing them from reaching their full potential.

I am experienced in working with adults, college students, and adolescents in a variety of settings, and have a deep appreciation for the work that I do. My goal is to help each individual to harness their strengths and to find personal growth and lasting change.
