More Info About My Practice
I work with adults (ages 18 and older) and teenagers in a private practice in the heart of Arlington Center. My office is bright, warm, and welcoming! As a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I draw from a wide variety of theoretical approaches, including psychodynamic (insight-oriented), cognitive-behavioral (skills-focused), and relational therapies. I believe the right therapeutic relationship makes all the difference in therapy, so finding a therapist you "click with" is crucial!
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I treat a wide array of issues, including anxiety, depression, and stress from life transitions. My specialty is in difficult backgrounds and family dynamics, with a focus on how those difficulties can affect us in the here and now. Common symptoms of difficult family dynamics (whether past or current dynamics) include anxiety, depression, being a "people pleaser," difficulty expressing anger in a healthy way, trouble feeling heard, and many more. Therapy will help "connect the dots" between your current struggles and where they come from in order to make truly lasting changes in how you feel and how your relate to the world.
