My Approach to Helping
Life can be overwhelming. Whether you’re in the midst of a personal crisis or relational conflict, wanting to move forward after divorce, or struggling with day-to-day life stress, therapy can help. I work with clients collaboratively to support them as they pursue their goals for a fulfilling life. I offer a calm and safe environment for you to be heard and validated as well as guidance and some fresh ideas as someone who’s a little bit ahead of you on the path of life.
Your physical, emotional, and mental health are all interconnected, and I approach therapy with this holistic mindset. Healing and understanding are connected at the core. The quality of your life can be drastically improved, even where an issue cannot be fully resolved, through making changes in your thinking, choices, and behaviors. I will give you the tools to recognize and voice your needs, enabling you to establish goals that address those needs. Working together, we will develop strategies and tools to help you toward a more fulfilling life.
I'm certified by Dr. Lissa Rankin's Whole Health Medicine Institute. Being a “brain-wise” therapist, I apply both neuroscience and neuropsychology when working with clients. With this approach, I consider your whole self as we work together. Humans are complex beings, and it’s important to consider all aspects, since each part of us affects the others. Being sure to include your circumstance and relationships, your traumatic experiences, and your physical health as we work to improve your mental and emotional wellbeing means that nothing gets neglected as you pursue healing.
