My Approach to Helping
If you find yourself facing one of the many troubles that life throws your way, like grief, loss, depression, anxiety, a life-changing diagnosis, a major transition, or relationship challenges, I can help you find peace as you move through and past it. My strength is welcoming all that arises with compassion and deep presence as I help you tap into your innate wisdom, to find your way to the solutions and answers you need. From that starting point, I use whatever part of my training might be the most useful. I use existential-humanist psychology when you need help making sense of life's big challenges and questions. I use dialectical behavioral therapy to examine the things you do and how you think. I use focusing-oriented psychotherapy to help you feel into what your body knows before your brain does. I use my 25 years of meditation practice and years of teaching meditation and yoga to help us keep returning to ease.
