My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in both Texas and California. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling & Personnel Services from the University of Maryland; I am also a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
I began my career working for underserved youth in Sacramento, California. I have experience providing intensive services to both children and families and specialize in working with children who have experienced trauma. I really enjoy building relationships with people of all ages and am always excited to help them discover their strengths and build resiliency.
I also have both personal and professional experience working with military members and their families. As a military dependent, first as a daughter and then as a spouse, I have first-hand knowledge of the complexities of military life. I have worked both overseas and in the States with service members, their spouses, children, and families on issues ranging from mental health concerns to couple’s communication to stress and anger management and problem-solving skills. I am very passionate in my support of our military and the sacrifices they and their families make on a daily basis.
My goal is to provide compassionate and straightforward care. I take pride in getting to know my clients’ strengths and helping them grow.
