My Approach to Helping

At A Home 4 Therapy, we take a collaborative approach to healing. We are entirely telehealth so that you can accomplish your goals from the comfort of your own home. I am very person-centered and I strive to make you feel comfortable in sessions. This is your safe space and I prioritize making you feel seen and heard. I take a collaborative approach so that you know you are not alone but you are the one making the decisions that will fit you best. As counselors, we are bearing witness to your pain and stories. That is a role that I take very seriously. We will work together, at your pace, to explore goals, beliefs, coping skills, and more.
More Info About My Practice
My business partner and I want to help individuals, families, and couples find their way back to themselves and their loved ones. We want to help you learn skills, identify areas of growth, and make commitments toward your goals. I believe that you don't have to go through this alone and we are here to listen to and support you.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
We take care of every single other part of the body besides the brain. Our brain controls so much of the rest of our body and I am a firm believer that illnesses can happen anywhere. There is a difference between mental health and mental illness. I believe that it is so important to take care of our brain and heal from past trauma. There is a lot of benefit to the rest of the body if we can heal mentally.
My Role as a Therapist
Remember those jeeps that they drive around in the safari? There is a person driving and then another person in the back facing the customers pointing out all the animals. I'm the person in the back and you are always the person driving. I am here to just give you tips, tools, listen, and help steer you in the direction you are choosing.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It can be really scary taking the leap to go to therapy. I want to help you move past any of those barriers and work toward your goals. The amazing part of therapy and that everything is confidential as long as you are safe. This is an hour for you to work on whatever it is that you want. If you need me to listen, that is what I will do. If you need me to provide tools, that is what I will do. If you need me to work through core beliefs with you, that is what I will do. Each and every session is yours and I am just here to support you and help you see that therapy is amazing and can be really helpful in a lot of ways.
