My Approach to Helping
Stephanie Amaral Da Rosa graduated from Montana State University Billings with a Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health. She completed her internship and practicum in a rehabilitation center for children and adolescents. After receiving her license in counseling, she became an elementary school-based mental health therapist for 5 years.
Stephanie has worked with children and young adults with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and low confidence. She loves helping young adults, children, and their families overcome daily challenges, explore triggers, build new coping skills, and increase their self-esteem and confidence.
She believes in a client-centered approach and strives to make a safe and welcoming environment for her clients. During the therapeutic session, she uses cognitive therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. She is also bilingual (English and Portuguese) and has roots in the Azores, Portugal.
