My Approach to Helping
It's brave to look inside and try to make personal changes and it's hard to know who is the right therapist. I will seek feedback from you about our work together to see how the fit feels for you. I am a certified couples' therapist and also work with individuals (from teens to seniors, including college students) looking for help with relationship or parenting challenges, addiction, anxiety, OCD, insomnia, depression, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, and a wide range of issues. I completed my training at Harvard Medical School through their programs at VA Boston and Cambridge Health Alliance. I mostly use CBT, DBT, IFS and AEDP methods.
I can help you notice what you want to change and identify goals for therapy. I have been described as an empathic, nonjudgmental therapist who brings warmth and respect to the therapy room. I use mindfulness to help you identify your sensations, feelings and thoughts, and accept them while setting intentions to make changes to reach goals you value.
I see clients at flexible hours including weekends and evenings. More personally, I enjoy meditating and spending time in nature — rock-climbing, hiking and cycling. I grew up in Europe in a diverse family and bring a multicultural sensitivity to therapy. I conduct therapy in French and Spanish as well, languages I am fluent in.
