What's My Approach to Therapy?
You may feel stuck, lonely, or emotionally exhausted—longing for connection, but unsure how to reach it. Maybe you've tried to fix things on your own, but the same painful patterns keep showing up. You're not alone, and things can get better.
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating anxiety, relational struggles, past trauma, and major life transitions. Whether you're dealing with emotional distance in your relationship, the stress of parenting, infertility, or a history that still feels unresolved, I offer a space where you’ll feel seen, supported, and gently challenged.
My approach is experiential, collaborative, and deeply respectful. We’ll work together to understand what’s driving the pain, create new ways of relating to yourself and others, and uncover possibilities for growth and healing. Clients often describe our sessions as insightful, emotionally rich, and relieving—a place where real change begins.
My Practice & Services
I offer virtual therapy for adults and couples in Virginia. In addition to individual and couples counseling, I facilitate an experiential therapy group for therapists and therapists-in-training called The Wounded Healer – Therapy for Therapists. This group draws on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodrama, and other experiential approaches to create a powerful space for personal and professional growth.
Sessions are held online through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. I’m in-network with CareFirst (Blue Cross Blue Shield), and I also offer a free 20-minute consultation to explore if we can work well together.
My Role as a Therapist
As a therapist, I offer both warmth and honesty. I listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and gently guide clients toward insight and transformation. I believe that even in the most painful places, there is strength waiting to emerge. My role is to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself and to the connections that matter most.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My journey into this work wasn't a straight line, it grew from my own life experiences, including navigating loss, transition, and the search for meaning. Having been on the other side of the therapy room, I know how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help. I also know how powerful it is to be truly understood. These personal experiences have made me a more compassionate and attuned therapist, able to hold space for the complexity and beauty of your story.
