My Approach to Helping
Sarah Worthy is a Supervisee in Social Work who has experience providing therapeutic care in the individual and group setting for adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, anger management, trauma, relational problems, and life transitions. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University and received her Master’s degree in Social Work and Certificate in Gender Violence Intervention from Virginia Commonwealth University. She applies a person-centered and strengths-based approach with her clients. She utilizes models such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-based therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Sarah understands that each client has their own unique set of needs and tailors her therapeutic interventions accordingly. She strives to create an honest and supportive environment in order to ensure that the client is able to achieve their goals and facilitate healing.
