My Approach to Helping

Hello, My name is Sarah, and it is a pleasure to meet you! If you are struggling, feeling anxious, or feeling lost, then I invite you to reach out to me. Together, we can discuss the issues you are struggling with.
As a counselor I provide an environment where you will receive unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and genuineness. I create an environment where you will feel safe to explore and experiment with new ways of being; such as changing unwanted behaviors, processing strong emotions, and learning to live in line with personal values.
I currently work with a diverse range of individuals including children, tweens, adults, and older adults. Clients who come to see me might be struggling with adjusting to a new situation or major change in their life, feelings of Grief or Loss, Low Self-Esteem, Social Anxiety, or relationship issues.
As a professional, I completed a practicum year at William Temple House and trained for two years in behavioral therapies at Portland Anxiety Clinic and Collective Care Clinics, prior to starting my own practice. Additionally, I have a background in Massage Therapy, Yoga, and the Theater Arts. Please feel free to ask me specific questions about my training or approach, if you wish, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I offer tele-health visits only at this time.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My own struggles during adolescence and young adulthood brought me to this profession. I entered this field with both personal experiences and years of doing my own therapeutic work. My past experiences, along with my educational and professional expertise, allow me to connect on a deep level with my clients. I am not here to fix you. I am here to extend a hand, and we can walk this journey together.
