My Approach to Helping
My theoretical framework is humanistic and person-centered in nature. In our relationship, you will receive unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and authenticity. I believe that these are the ingredients for creating a secure bond between client and therapist, through which deep exploration can occur.
My main objective is to provide you with a safe space to discuss whatever is bothering you. Then, together we can identify coping skills, mindfulness techniques, and valued actions to move you in the direction of a valued life. Along the way, we can also reframe unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that may be getting in your way.
More Info About My Practice
I feel one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to see people as they truly are. I find it extremely fulfilling to help my clients develop a more balanced view of themselves, especially those struggling with low self-esteem, low self-worth, or perfectionism. I additionally find it rewarding to support clients who are navigating new changes or endeavors in their lives. These might include relationship transitions, and school or career changes.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to beginning our journey together.
My Role as a Therapist
My role is to listen, and reflect what I see. Through this practice one can develop self-awareness, understand their own behaviors, resolve traumas, and begin to change unwanted patterns. I see myself as a co-pilot for my client's, helping them to navigate the complexities of life.
