My Approach to Helping

Rosie Davis-Aubrey is a trauma-informed Dance Movement Therapist (TI-DMT)with over 3 years of experience. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, new mothers, and families address their distinctive life obstacles in order to live more fulfilled and aligned lives. She works with clients from all walks of life, but is proudly able to provide specialized social justice-oriented therapeutic services for Black and Brown individuals. Rosie specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues, grief, postpartum, LGBTQIA+-specific issues, and major identity- and life transition-related issues. Rosie completed her Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling at Drexel University. She is a Black mother who is no stranger to the intricacy of juggling life's stressors and joys, making her well-versed in the fragile web of existing in the world as a marginalized member of society. This, coupled with her professional experience, enables her to provide the guidance and support her clients are seeking. Rosie utilizes person-centered (PCT), integrative, and eclectic treatment approaches including dance/movement therapy (DMT), trauma-informed mindfulness and somatic approaches, motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT). Life is a challenge that we are all destined to inevitably wrestle and stumble through. Rosie is confident that she would be able to support you on your expedition to gain new perspectives and techniques that allow you to cope with whatever you may be struggling with. If you are ready to "do the work", schedule an appointment with her today.
