My Approach to Helping
Rosana Lopez Haugh received her Master's in Social Work, Planning, and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and has over 25 years of experience in the field of social work, advocating and serving people with disabilities in their community. Rosana has extensive experience working with children and adults assisting them in both English and Spanish language. She received her undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Mary Washington University and also worked as an accomplished artist. Rosana specializes in working with people with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar, and personality diagnoses as well as intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities. Rosana's love for art and social work is the focus of her practice. She works using the expressive arts and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and is currently working towards certification in both. Rosana believes in the healing power of art and its use as a mental health recovery tool. Art allows us to bring about change inside ourselves and can support you as you move through your distress. Rosana believes that recovery is always possible; she will hold hope for you when you may not be able to. If you are looking for recovery and change you are invited to reach out to her. Be well.
