My Approach to Helping

Hello, I'm Rebecca Meigs, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their unique experiences and navigate life's challenges. I graduated from Seminary of the Southwest in 2023 with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and did my pre-graduate internship at Capital Area Counseling in Austin, TX. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and a deep respect for each client's unique journey. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults navigating a range of concerns, including religious trauma, life transitions, self-worth, and LGBTQ+ areas of focus. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I take a holistic view, considering each client's mental, emotional, and relational health to help them achieve a balanced and fulfilling life, drawing on elements from internal family systems, somatic, and narrative therapy, as well as other evidence-based approaches. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or seeking personal growth, I'm here to listen, support, and empower you on your path to well-being.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It makes total sense to feel unsure about starting therapy. It can feel vulnerable to open up, especially if past experiences with religion, identity, or relationships left you feeling unseen or judged. But therapy isn?t about having it all figured out?it?s about creating space for curiosity, healing, and self-trust.

You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support. You don't have to explain your queerness, your questions, or your story to be welcome. In our work together, your full self is invited- doubt, grief, humor, and hope included.

If you?re even a little curious, we can start with a conversation. No pressure, no fixing?just a space for you to explore what healing might look like on your own terms.
