My Approach to Helping

If you want someone with a direct approach who will dig in with you to help identify and change unhelpful patterns, I might be for you.

I work collaboratively, providing a safe, culturally sensitive, and encouraging virtual space to explore what is no longer working for you. Together, with an approach based on your unique situation and experiences, we can work through what is keeping you from your desired life. As a Couple and Family Therapist, I specialize in services for couples, polycules, families, and individuals in Illinois and Indiana.

I have extensive experience with relational conflict, life transitions, communication skills, intimacy and sexual issues, divorce, blended families, and trauma. As a culturally sensitive, social justice focused, LGBTQIA and poly affirmative, and kink-aware therapist, I am equipped to help you explore how your social location impacts your areas of concern.

Prior to earning my Masters, I spent nearly a decade providing adult sex education. This gives me unique insights and experience in helping you with the difficulties couples and individuals can face around sex and sexuality. Ready to move towards living your ideal life? Contact me today! If my caseload is currently full, Hold the Vision has other awesome clinicians who have been and are being trained and supervised by me.

More Info About My Practice

Hold the Vision Therapy affirms that Black Lives Matter, Trans Lives Matter, Black Trans Lives Matter, sex work is work, people are not illegal, abortion is healthcare, ableism exists, and there is health at every size. The practice advocates for intersectional justice, racial liberation, landback, and Indigenous sovereignty.

Our therapists are trained to think systemically meaning we examine how the systems you are imbedded in, and your social locations impact you, your life, and your relationships. This also means we recognize our own position of power in and out of the therapy room and examine how it and our personal dimensions of culture impact you and the therapeutic relationship.
