My Approach to Helping
I am passionate about individualizing each treatment plan to best suit the needs of my patients, and aim to have the therapeutic experience be a collaborative environment in which the therapist and client work as a team to resolve the issues brought to the table.
I have experience working with children with a focus on emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, anger management, communication skills, social skills, as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression. My experience working with teens and adults has focused on relationship issues, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem, stress management, and trauma recovery.
My theoretical approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, child focused therapy, play therapy techniques and interventions, dialectical behavior therapy, Narrative therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, playing and watching sports, playing music, art and spending time with family and friends.
