My Approach to Therapy

"No problem can be solved by the same level of consciousness that created it." -Albert Einstein. Do you struggle with chronic feelings of unhappiness, fear, or anger? Do you feel stuck? Are you overwhelmed by challenging relationships with friends and family? Talking with someone in a confidential and compassionate environment can help you gain new insights and see your relationships differently. I have worked with individuals and families for over 10 years. I creatively pair my listening skills with evidence-based practices designed to fit my clients' needs and maximize their growth. I know that we learn most of our coping styles at an early age, and I'm highly skilled at family and parenting interventions. I bring parents and children together in family sessions. This can ensure a happier family environment by bringing parents and their children closer together. I offer dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). This approach can aid clients in regulating their emotions and increasing mindfulness to clients who are interested in working on emotion regulationmindfulness. I am a former psychiatric facility clinical supervisor, and have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of challenges. I pride myself on being helpful and effective. Let's work together!
