My Approach to Helping
Our strengths and positive outlooks are often extinguished in times of crisis, trauma, and loss. My counseling techniques incorporate strength-based concepts to reignite your personal strengths and positivity, and specifically tailor to your individual counseling plans and goals. I believe that small changes yield big differences in therapy, and distribute holistic concepts and approaches throughout my sessions. This approach states that one's lifestyle, including diet, sleep, and exercise, can greatly impact mental health. Such ideas will be considered throughout therapy.
I work with adults, couples, and specialize in children and adolescents experiencing anxiety and/or depression. Such conditions can significantly impact school performance and social interaction in younger children, and it can become difficult to determine if their mental health is affecting their behavior or vice-versa. As an education advocate, I collaborate with the child or teen's school professionals to integrate counseling tools or possible interventions in their learning environment. I also provide academic motivation and have tutoring resources for grades K-12.
My office is warm and inviting, and feels like you just stepped into a living space. I want your experience to be as wholesome, comfortable, and refreshing as possible.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can help you determine what is inaccurate thinking and replace negative thoughts that have such a detrimental affect on our mental health. You can learn techniques to help you achieve a healthier mind. Therapy can help restore power and hope that is often diminished when trauma and loss hits us.
Couples can learn how to argue fair, repair past damages, and gain the knowledge to work through future conflicts during intensive therapy sessions. Intensive couples therapy can provide short-term therapy with positive long-term results.
