What's My Approach to Therapy?

I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills and dysfunctional survival traits as an adaptation to a deeper issue. Those struggling with personality challenges, codependency, trauma, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), anxiety, perfectionism, and eating challenges are among my areas of expertise. Trauma populations include, but are not limited to, sexual trauma, military trauma, spiritual trauma, emotional trauma, physical trauma, neglect, and abandonment.

I am trained in many types of therapy and have an eclectic approach. I provide psychoeducation from a mindful perspective, utilizing eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-informed approaches to further enhance and address the goals of the individual. Some other types of services I offer are Gottman Method, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), somatic therapy, and trauma-informed yoga.

If somebody is in a situation they cannot get out of themselves, and they are willing to reach out at this time, I am happy to meet and discuss options for treatment. I am willing to refer clients to appropriate levels of care or other specialists, if necessary. My goal is to provide the best care for the individual.

My Practice & Services

I work alongside an administrative assistant and private biller to give my patients the care and attention they deserve. I value good communication and quick responses, especially during times of crisis or even just times when someone needs a little extra support. My team and I are able to assist in navigating insurance and will do everything by means of communicating and billing insurance policies. From the time that you decide to book with me, we take the stress off of you. I am also flexible and laid back, as I appreciate being shown the same respect. I am flexible with finances and scheduling, among other things. If I look like a fit, give me a call and see how we operate! I am very proud of us and how we serve others.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I identify as a person in recovery. This includes addiction, eating disorder, self harming behaviors and codependency. I quote Victor Frankl when I say, "When you find your wound, you find your purpose."
