My Approach to Helping
Each person's situation, no matter how awful it might seem, is a unique adaptation to their life experience. Oftentimes, this adaptation may not be working in service of the individual's goals or causes great pain and suffering. I believe each person is an expert on their situation, feelings, thoughts, and ultimately behaviors. It is my philosophy and approach to help individuals talk about, think about, and ultimately change the behaviors or ways of coping that are problematic for them. It is my intention to teach individuals how to do this on their own and be "their own psychotherapist."
