My Approach to Helping

I believe that we all want connections to other people; to be loved, heard, and seen. I specialize in substance use, comorbid disorders, addiction related disorders, and relationships. Throughout our lives we create maladaptive beliefs about ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities. Some of us seek dysfunctional coping methods such as using alcohol, drugs, and unsafe sex practices. These maladaptive ways to cope only create more complications. I have drawn from my firm belief that the answer lies within each one of us.
Through a safe, therapeutic relationship, one can connect to their highest self, and find the love, peace, and acceptance they have been searching for. We each hold the power to let go of the old maladaptive beliefs, while creating and implementing new healthy and loving belief systems.
