My Approach to Helping
I have been in private practice for over 39 years with experience working prior to that in family counselling agencies and in psychiatric hospitals.
I began studying and training in my field to help educate, motivate, and transform people's lives, this has been important and a passion before my education began. Through continued studying after university and looking at research in the field of the brain and human behaviour it became clear that there were therapies that could help to change our stuck negative and sabotaging programming that dictated our beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I discovered that it was possible to delete old negative experiences and programming easily without having to wade through the past, unless we wanted to learn from the past and then without being further negatively affected by the memories. with skills, tools, and insights it is possible to reset back to a place where health and happiness was experienced or to a new place of health and happiness never experienced before. We don't have to accept the present state of being if it doesn't support health and happiness, as the brain and central nervous system is capable of being reset for optimal functioning.

For over 39 years I have studied and practiced various therapeutic modalities as well as life and business coaching.
I have found that Cognitive Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Neurofeedback have been the most effective in reprogramming negative subconscious programming or negative beliefs-thoughts-feelings-behaviour. These three forms can be used in combination in various ways to make the transition to a positive frame of mind and action gentle and permanent.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Along with being skilled at helping transform the subconscious programming that is 95% running our lives, I am also very skilled at working with couples and families having the understanding between the different communication styles and in working collaboratively together to build health, supportive, and loving relationships.
