My Approach to Helping
My name is Nathaniel Morgan, and I have been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas since 2009. In those 14 years as a therapist, I've been fortunate to work with people from all walks of life. I try to learn about people's different experiences and to help them find their own unique ways to bring about growth, change, and healing, and then to work on the level that best suits them. We can keep it practical or get deep, depending on how it is feeling to you. Therapy can often be just as challenging as it is rewarding, so I do my best to make it enjoyable but respectful, serious but fun, and not drag it out too long, kind of like this bio.
My approach to therapy is primarily an Existential, Person-Centered approach with the occasional Cognitive Behavioral intervention when appropriate. This allows me to manage and guide the therapeutic process in ways that conform to the person's needs without being directive or forcing the person to conform to my theoretical approach. As such, the solutions to the challenges that are discovered are uniquely your own and ideally suited to bring about the change you desire.
