Out of Pocket Counseling Rates

Many clients choose not to utilize their insurance benefits because:

1) It enhances client privacy within the counseling setting, 2) it promotes a focus on health and strength rather than a focus on pathology since insurance companies require that the client be given a mental illness diagnosis for counseling services, and 3) it enhances choice and power within counseling.

If we do not accept your insurance plan and you want to use your health care benefits, we will be happy to provide you with the appropriate paperwork to facilitate your insurance claims.

We recommend that you check with your insurance company prior to the first visit to understand your outpatient counseling benefits.

You should ask your insurance company about:

1) coverage for “outpatient counseling services”

2) the percentage of reimbursement for an “out of network psychotherapist, and

3) any deductible amount.

Out of pocket rates for unlicensed therapists

Residents in Counseling, Residents in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Supervisees in Clinical Social Work do NOT participate with insurance plans.

At In Luck Counseling, LLC, we offer a reduced fee for individual, couples, and family therapy services provided by one of our residents or supervisees. Please call (703) 997-6641 for more information.

My Approach to Helping

Your journey in life has brought you to seek therapy from a professional. Therapy has the power to improve the quality of your life if you trust the process. Should you decide to hire me for this very important job, my focus will be on helping you feel strong and confident again. In the beginning, we will spend time listening to your story. We will then collaboratively identify realistic therapeutic goals and as we move forward I will encourage you to consider building a network of people like family, friends, or neighbors, to help support you and your goals.
