My Approach to Helping

Do you feel stuck in emotional patterns that hinder your relationships, self-image, or life decisions? Hoping to gain clarity and feel more empowered in your life? Then, I may be the right therapist for you. I specialize in working with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, relational conflict, low self-esteem, and navigating life transitions. Having worked in social services for over a decade and in private practice, I am passionate about helping people step out of their comfort zones and achieve meaningful change. And I'd be honoured to partner with you on your path to healing and self-discovery!

As a queer immigrant woman, my intersecting identities inform a large part of my work and my practice is rooted in intersectional feminism. My therapeutic style balances collaboration, support, and challenging clients at their own pace. I blend emotional freedom technique (EFT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and body-based modalities to address clients' specific needs and goals.

I view therapy as a journey to wholeness. You can learn to tune into your body, uncover and transform patterns that create distress, and recognize and express your emotional needs more effectively. Together, we will work on deepening your understanding of what might be at the root of your struggles toward positive, long-lasting change.

I offer complimentary 15-minute consultations to determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit. Click the link to email me to book an appointment.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Choosing the right therapist involves more than learning about the therapist's theoretical orientation and style. Since every therapist approaches therapy from their own perspective, and every client responds differently to a given approach, only you know the factors that will allow you to invest and stick with therapy. "Fit" is also about the connection (the alliance) you have with your therapist. So, in the process of choosing a therapist, it's important to consider the following questions and pay attention to your gut feelings: Do I trust this person's ability to be understanding and non-judgmental about my concerns? Are they open to receiving feedback?
