My Approach to Helping
Compassionate and understanding care for young adults healing from trauma
In life, we all experience challenges within ourselves or in our interpersonal relationships. This can affect our behavior and how we move about our environment. No one is perfect and therapy is often about navigating those imperfections. Together, we will use therapy as a tool for a transformative journey towards healing and growth. By providing a warm and supportive environment, we will work using a tailored approach towards attainable goals and addressing any issues that may be weighing on you.
I work well with clients who show a willingness to engage in the therapeutic process, and a readiness to address past traumas. These clients are open to exploring and understanding how past experiences have impacted their present life and relationships. They exhibit a strong desire for healing and are motivated to learn coping skills to manage trauma-related symptoms such as anxiety, flashbacks, or hypervigilance. Ideally, clients will be committed to attending therapy sessions regularly and actively participates in trauma-focused interventions, such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). They are receptive to processing emotions and memories related to their trauma history in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. I love working with clients who understand the collaborative nature of therapy and are willing to work with me to reach their goals for life and treatment.
I currently only offer Telehealth sessions. Sessions are conducted through a HIPPA compliant platform called SimplePractice. I enjoy offering Telehealth therapy because you will be able to join sessions from your phone or your computer without having to add time for commute or traffic!
