My Approach to Helping
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional, and Certified EMDR therapist in the State of Florida, I have obtained my therapy experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from varied ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds through years of outpatient and residential treatment focusing on Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Trauma. I utilize EMDR therapy to process a variety of challenges experienced by children and adults and focus on Performance Enhancement working with athletes, musicians, and artists to assist them when challenged in areas of procrastination, fear of failure, setbacks, and mentally preparing for upcoming performances or events.
As a degreed musician and athlete as well, I understand the challenges that occur whether you are a student or adult preparing for a music audition or performance, an athlete preparing for a sporting event, or an actor preparing for a movie or play. We address procrastination, fear of failure, setbacks, and life transition and thoughts that are blocking you from reaching your full potential.

My Role as a Therapist
My previous experience includes the honor of working with our Veterans in a residential program and working with teenagers in a residential setting focusing on mental health, substance abuse, behavior management, family therapy, human trafficking, and group therapy. My role is to support each client with empathy, objectivity, and assist you on your path to change.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
When I meet a new client, I reiterate the words "don't forget we are all human." We are human beings with hearts not machines. A person is not a computer or an appliance where a few adjustments are completed, and it is back to functioning. Human beings need empathy, support, and guidance. Together we will process your needs and concerns and develop a plan together to assist you in reaching your goals. As human beings we are all strong in our own way, therapy is an exploration of our hearts and souls, and the journey begins when we believe it is time to seek assistance.
