My Approach to Helping
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as my primary approach to providing therapy. CBT is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. By helping clients develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies, I aim to empower them to manage their mental health. Through personalized and structured sessions, I work collaboratively with my clients to assist them with achieving their therapeutic goals and foster lasting positive change. An additional approach I utilize is client-centered therapy. This approach is grounded in the belief that clients have the innate capacity for self-understanding and growth. I prioritize the unique needs and experiences of each individual I encounter and create a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I provide active listening, support, and empathy while encouraging my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly. I will work closely with those in my care to assist them with identifying their strengths and help them work towards their personal goals.
