It is difficult to overstate the importance of the client-therapist relationship, because it exists in the space where emotional, spiritual and physical safety is established... where you don't have to be perfect, where mistakes are accepted and challenges to long held beliefs are explored. This relationship is the launch pad for positive change, if it is built on mutual respect. So, expect me to be mindful of your needs and supportive of healthy decisions.
