What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am a Resident in Counseling and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with extensive experience in the mental health and non-profit sectors. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, families, and adults—particularly those who are Spanish-speaking or currently incarcerated.
I take a culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach to therapy, integrating a variety of therapeutic modalities such as internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centered practices.
I am passionate about walking alongside individuals and families on their unique journeys, supporting them as they set goals, overcome challenges, and discover their own strength—whether through small steps or major milestones. My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in the resilience of every person.
