My Approach to Helping
You’re exhausted and overwhelmed. One minute it feels like things are going to be okay and there is a glimpse of hope, but the next you’re back on the emotional rollercoaster. Emotions are changing so quickly that it’s hard to keep track. Maybe this sounds like you or maybe this is your child. It’s hard to have so many emotions without understanding why. Controlling them seems nearly impossible so you resort to dealing with them in ways that have been more harmful than helpful. It’s possible that you’ve also recently learned that your child or teen is self-harming, using substances, shoplifting or engaging in other risky behaviors and you’re terrified.
Imagine being able to have control over your emotions and knowing exactly why you or your child is upset. The excessive worry finally comes to a stop and you’re able to have focus and motivation in life again. You feel heard, understood and can breathe. You start to get exactly what you want out of your relationships, you’re getting along with your child, and you genuinely feel happy. You have accomplished the goal of inner peace and you look forward to waking up each day.
I come to you with nearly a decade of experience in community mental health where I have served children, adults and families. I’m currently offering evening and weekend appointments in addition to online video therapy. I’ve completed multiple trainings in different types of therapies so I can tailor treatment to you or your child’s specific needs. Therapy shouldn’t be a “one size fits all” approach.
