My Approach to Helping
My goal is to help clients who feel stuck in the repetitive patterns of their past. My healing approach is honest and direct, but also, gentle and compassionate. I strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment which is grounded in mind/body/spirit awareness. My holistic orientation may include traditional talk therapy, mindfulness, experiential therapies and spirituality work. Couples, individuals, and families are assisted in acquiring effective communication skills, anger management skills, and healthy boundaries.

I am an Arizona state-licensed therapist with a Master of Counseling degree. I subscribe to an integrative approach which is based on my own life experience. I've been in the recovery world for over 15 years. I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR - Certified, EMDRIA-Approved Consultant), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Assistant/Coordinator); Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative Communication Skills. I am a member of several professional organizations including the American Counseling Association and EMDRIA. My practice is conveniently located on Scottsdale Rd. one block north of Lincoln. I also support intensives as needed, within Psychological Counseling Services, Ltd., one of the leading group counseling practices in the country, founded by Dr. Ralph Earle. I have served on staff at St. Luke's Hospital and Banner Behavioral Health Hospital in the past.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I feel my gift is in relating psychological issues to what is going on in the nervous system and finding an experiential "power tool" such as EMDR or Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to resolve issues.
