Mary Tayal is a Licensed Psychologist who has practiced in North Carolina for nearly 30 years. Mary has assisted a diverse population of clients to include individual adults, couples, adolescents, geriatrics, and military veterans. She understands that one's life-path is commonly filled with unexpected twists and turns. Divorce, death, employment stress, second marriages, blended families, relationship strife, trauma, and loss are common obstacles encountered in life. Subsequently, many experience anxiety, depression, bereavement, anger, jealousy, worry, shame, and loneliness as a result of these struggles. Mary has assisted others get unstuck, navigate life's hurdles, and prevail to be better prepared for life's next adventure. Mary is originally from California where she completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Experimental Psychology at the University of California-Santa Barbara and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. She is a military veteran, having served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Mary understands that entering therapy is not always easy. She engages with her clients as a compassionate listener, an engaged educator, and a trustworthy ally. PLEASE NOTE that Mary ONLY provides talk therapy and NOT assessment and evaluation for diagnostic purposes or level of care. She welcomes her clients where they are and helps them grow to where they want to be.
