My Approach to Helping

As an LPC and African American woman I have done a vast amount of work in many treatment modalities as well as populations.

Lisa Gibbs is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience in mental health. Lisa's passion in this field is to help women who are mentally struggling to find themselves and get to a place of self-identity and peace, and to assist couples going through challenges in their marriage to reconnect and experience relationship fulfillment. Lisa specializes in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, coping skills, parenting, spirituality, stress, and life transitions. Lisa completed her Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health at Argosy University. She's married to her husband of 35 years and has raised three children, including an adopted son. Lisa knows the struggles of marriage and motherhood. This, coupled with her professional experience, enables her to provide the guidance and support her clients are seeking. Lisa utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, family/marital, mindfulness, and Christian counseling. We all go through life challenges. Lisa is deeply committed to offering a wide range of evidence-based approaches. Her aim is to support each client on their journey to inner peace.
