My Approach to Helping
My passion and experience in helping others create a warm, trusting atmosphere where clients can share their stories and process their feelings. Each person is the expert on their lives and so, together, we develop healthy strategies that will lead to emotional health, greater self-esteem, and improved relationships. My work is guided by the belief that all persons have inherent value and can experience positive change.
I excel at helping teens through young adults work through challenges including, but not limited mood disorders, behavioral problems, depression, anger, anxiety, stress, trauma, and adjustment to life changes. I use a variety of methods in my therapeutic practice based on my client's goals with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
